Before we go digging into to generate leads, let’s take a look at what I am talking about when I talk about a lead: In simple terms, a lead is a prospective customer. A lead is someone who would be interested in buying your product or service if you are able to persuade them that what you do or sell offers the solution to their problem. There are two types of leads, qualified leads and unqualified leads. It is important to realise that not all leads are created equal. A qualified lead is someone who has raised their hand and indicated that they are interested in what you do. An unqualified lead is simply a name or email address on a list. I’d happily give you my contact details if you were giving away an iPhone, but I wouldn’t buy your mascara. Test or assessment And finally, a short test or assessment can also make for a great lead magnet.
